The Center for Ethnic Jewish Studies is a multidisciplinary facility exploring the origins and essense of what it means to be a Jew. Current projects touch on aspects of history, culture, nationality, religion, psychology, biology, anthropology, politics, sociology, evolution, computer science/AI, military strategy, economics, astronomy, aerospace physics, and so on. Located 700 feet below Ramat Aviv, in Israel, our facilities are extensive and until now rather secretive. The last of the original architects, builders and maintenance personnel have passed on, and this has triggered a realization that secrecy may not be in our long term interests - especially since we have recently experienced water leaks in the outer walls of the structure, flooding one of our incubation rooms. This web site represents one of the first approved public communications. Although it certainly will not be the last. Focused as we are on the central enigmas of the Jewish people, our work is bound to stir up heated controversy. Therefore, much of what we have found must, for the forseeable future, remain 'underground'. Nonetheless, there are sections of the facility which are devoted to more academic and popular concepts, and have been granted limited internet access. Our younger generation, and one young man in particular, will eventually go a step further and emerge from the depths to offer assistance to the Israeli leadership and scientific and military establishment with the current 'crises'. In the meantime, a few of the children have been in contact with the folks at Yahoodi.com and have set up the 'Famous Jews Interactive' resource that has become so popular in the last year. They've had a lot of fun with it, and the rest of us don't see that it has caused any harm. We will continue to censor their emails - of course - at least until their 13th birthdays. We have also been asked to contribute a few articles for the 'Peace Encyclopedia', which is an ongoing project on another section of Yahoodi.com. It seems like it will be quite a collection of information - I look forward to finally going through it. What is to come? Really, I don't know. But if you want to know as soon as there is new information - get yourself subscribed to the mailing list. I don't guarantee frequent mailings, but then nobody can complain about 'junk mail' either. Yours,
Dr. Sous 'Eli' Abravanel |
